Cat5E Plenum CMP cable is the choice for fire retardant plenum duct applications. Meets and exceeds Cat5E standard requirements. Available in a PVC CMP Rated jacket. Plenum cable is jacketed with a fire-retardant plastic jacket of either a low-smoke polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or a fluorinated ethylene polymer (FEP). Whether you are wiring your home, office or entire campus, we have the solution that is right for you.

Plenum 1000 foot Cat5E bulk cable is a must-have for Plenum rated networking jobs. Plenum is an open space found above a building’s dropped ceiling. It is quite frequently used for air circulation in heating and air-conditioning systems. Every item that is installed in a plenum above-ceiling air circulation space must adhere to special fire-safety standards. All materials intended for use on wire and cables that are installed in plenum spaces are designed to meet rigorous fire safety test standards in accordance with NFPA 262 and are outlined in NFPA 90A. If you are unsure if you require plenum rated cable, please check with your local inspector or builder.

CMP: The 'P' in CMP is for Plenum. Cables meeting type CMP requirements are suitable for installation in ducts and plenums without the use of conduit. These cables are designed for fire resistance and low-smoke and toxin producing characteristics.
